CryoLab® Aesthetics Treatment in Surprise and Peroria AZ

What is CryLab® Aesthetics?

This revolutionary new treatment option is ideal for combatting common skin concerns such as skin tags, sun spots and age spots. CryLab® Aesthetics uses carbon dioxide ice crystals cooled to -110˚ Fahrenheit in a controlled manner to perform shallow abrasion of the skin in a safe and effective manner.

How Do You Benefit from CryLab® Aesthetics?

Hyperpigmentation, skin tags, age spots and sun spots can have a significant effect on your self-confidence. Though they are harmless, you may want to improve your appearance in a safe and effective way. CryLab® Aesthetics is a non-painful and non-invasive treatment that can remove these lesions quickly and easily. Designed as an alternative to laser therapy, this cryo-based treatment is perfect for skin concerns.

What is Cryo and How Does it Work?

Cryogenics involves the study and production of extremely low temperatures. CryoLab® Aesthetics uses freezing temperatures to treat skin lesions, freezing and destroying them while maintaining the integrity of surrounding tissues. Extremely cold carbon dioxide gas is applied to the target area, causing the development of a blister below the lesion. Healthy skin is able to form beneath the blister, causing the damaged skin, lesion and blister to fall off over time.

How Can CryLab® Be Used?

CryoLab® Aesthetics can be used to completely remove visible skin lesions that can be found on the hands, neck, face and décolleté (neck and chest) using freezing carbon dioxide gas. We have treated patients presenting with concerns such as actinic keratosis, skin tags, age spots, seborrheic keratosis, lentigos, solar keratosis and more.

How Does CryoLab® Differ from Cryotherapy?

The biggest difference between CryLab® Aesthetics and cryotherapy is the area that is targeted on the body for treatment. Both use freezing gas to treat or heal a trouble area, but CryoLab® is more suitable for spot treatments for dermatological reasons such as pigmentation, lesions and skin tags. Cryotherapy, on the other hand, typically targets the whole body and is used for pain relief, reduction of inflammation, migraine symptoms, anxiety and depression.

What to Expect from CryoLab® Treatment?

We use our CryoLab® Aesthetics technology to target multiple skin concerns in a single treatment. Typically, patients only require one to two sessions to see results, where other skin resurfacing treatments often require more sessions to achieve the same results. Before we start, we administer a hyaluronic serum to the skin to maintain moisture in the target area. We then apply CryoLab® to the area in 5 to 10 second bursts, during which you may experience an intense cold sensation. Though you may feel discomfort, this will resolve soon after the machine is stopped. After treatment you can resume your day.

What is the Healing Process for CryoLab® Like?

CryoLab® Aesthetics is a safe and effective treatment with minimal discomfort and no downtime. In fact, you can resume regular activities immediately after your treatment. We recommend that treated areas are protected with a Band-Aid, and that you use a mild cleanser to clean your face daily. Swimming and bathing can be resumed once the blister has peeled off. Initially, you will notice darkening of the treated area before the area flakes off. After this has occurred, you will see results. Initial pinkness of the new skin will gradually fade to match the rest of your skin.

Is CryoLab® Safe?

Yes. CryoLab® Aesthetics is safe and effective for all skin types with no risk of hypopigmentation or PIH and is recommended for the arms, hands, face and décolleté. To find out more about CryoLab® Aesthetics and how it may benefit you, call today at (623) 252-8977.
